RF Validation with Drones
An Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) is an aircraft without an onboard pilot. UAVs have been popularized by the military for various roles or missions. UAV technology has also gained ground commercially in the form of an inexpensive, light-weight, and portable packages called “drones.” Currently, drone use ranges from taking selfies, recording videos, capturing surveillance, mapping terrains, and delivering Amazon packages.
In striving to help customers realize the value of advanced technologies for their business, End 2 End Technologies (E2E) is taking drones to another level by demonstrating their use in outdoor radio frequency validation. RF Validation is an important step in Wireless Systems Design where a candidate site is assessed for the following conditions:
- RF channel usage
- Signal strength and quality measurement
- Transmitter validation and troubleshooting
- Antenna height assessment
- Location condition
- Document pictures
Cody Recette, a senior engineer, and Ronee De Guzman, a senior systems engineer with E2E, will be demonstrating how our company is using cutting-edge drone technology in wireless systems design.
To learn more about this advanced technology, please attend our presentation at ENTELEC 2019 Conference & Expo on April 23 at 10:00 am in Room 350E.
